EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Would you like to see improvement in yourself or your team in any of these areas?

- Effective Leadership

- Decision Making

- Problem Solving

- Relationship Satisfaction

- Stress Tolerance

- Career Success

Emotional intelligence can be defined as a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop, and maintain social relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way.

EQ is a much better predictor of performance in the workplace than IQ. You an also improve your EQ with practice. IQ, however, is relatively fixed.

The EQ-i 2.0 involves an online assessment of multiple choice questions (www.mhs.com). A confidential report is then generated and discussed in a 1 hour debriefing session with the Assessor. There are various reports available such as leadership, workplace, and higher education. Coaching sessions are recommended after the 1 hour debrief to help the client explore areas for development, set realistic goals, and create a viable action plan.

EQ 360

The EQ 360 Report provides an in-depth analysis of feedback provided by those who personally know the client. The assessment allows an unlimited number of raters (Managers, Peers, Direct Reports, Friends, Family).  This feedback is then compared to the client's own self-assessment to provide a 360 degree view of the client's effectiveness as well as valuable insight into opportunities for development.

EQ-i 2.0 Leadership Report

This report is useful for instances where a leader within the organization shows strengths in core competencies necessary for the role, but may be exhibiting EI blind spots of which peers are taking notice. Or, a company finds a high performing employee who exhibits great work ethic and comparable traits to leaders within the organization. In both scenarios, the Leadership Report can be used when focusing on leadership development, executive development and coaching, and developing high potential leaders.  The Leadership Report examines results in four key dimensions: Authenticity, Coaching, Insight, and Innovation. The report also contains insights on the possible implications of results, and which skills have the highest potential of becoming leadership derailers. Strategies for development are provided with the aim to attain true leadership potential, while being able to compare results against top leaders as a benchmark.

When should I use the Leadership EQ 360 Report?

When looking at a potential, new, or existing leader within an organization, it is not only important to gain an understanding of their performance in the workplace; but also for them to gain insights into their performance as a leader by peers, direct reports and supervisors. Similar to the Workplace EQ 360, the Leadership EQ 360 Report allows for an unlimited number of raters to provide feedback and provides insights into opportunities for development. The Leadership 360 report lends itself well to a follow-up with the same group of evaluators to compare results and track progress.

EQ-i 2.0 Worplace Report

An employee's skills and qualifications are important for success within their role. An employee's emotional intelligence can be just as important; if not more so, for fulfillment within, or potentially beyond, their current role. The EQ-i- 2.0 Workplace Report is designed to be used in instances of coaching and development situations in work settings for an individual at a non-management level. Coaching sessions can further focus on the impact of emotional intelligence at work and explore options for working more effectively in one's role, with colleagues, supervisors and clients.

When should I use the Workplace EQ 360 Report?

When working in an organization, it’s important to recognize the impact of one’s actions on colleagues. The EQ 360 report offers an in-depth analysis by having those that work with an individual and know them personally provide feedback in addition their self-assessment to provide a 360 degree view of his or her effectiveness and EQ competencies. This report can be used for results specific to a workplace context, enabling career and organizational development. It identifies blind spots, strengths, and developmental opportunities in the workplace. EQ-i 2.0

The EQ-i 2.0 is a scientifically validated psychometric assessment which measures emotional intelligence (EI) and how it can impact people and the workplace. It identifies strengths in emotional intelligence and areas for potential development. Emotional intelligence is not about being emotional. It is about understanding how to use emotional information more effectively to improve decision making, assertiveness, independence, social relationships, stress tolerance, and overall happiness. Change can only happen when there is awareness of what needs to change, and emotional self-awareness is key. Such insight can help a person use emotional information in a healthy and effective way so they can be successful at work and in life regardless of their role or position.
